How to join

Prominence II · Fabric · RPG modpack

Install the modpack, launch Minecraft, and connect to play.doodooflames.lol. First load takes a while — that's normal for a big RPG pack.

Install a modded launcher

CurseForge or Prism both work.

Download and install the CurseForge app (Windows) or Prism Launcher. Either can import modpack profiles. If you already use one, skip to the next step.

Get the modpack

Official pack or our custom profile with recommended extras.

Search for Prominence II (Fabric) on CurseForge and install it — match Minecraft 1.20.1. When the Doodooflames custom pack is ready, you can import our zip instead for the same base game plus server-recommended mods like Voxy.

Allocate enough RAM

6 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended.

Open the profile settings for Prominence and set allocated memory to at least 6 GB (8192 MB is ideal). RPG packs load many mods — too little RAM causes freezes or crashes on startup.

Launch and wait for the first load

The first boot can take several minutes.

Hit Play and let the pack download mods and build its cache. You'll see loading bars — don't panic if it sits at 90% for a bit. Once you reach the main menu, you're ready to join.

Join the server

Multiplayer → Direct Connection.

From the main menu: Multiplayer → Direct Connection → enter play.doodooflames.lol (no port number). Add to your server list if you plan to come back often.

Your first session

Spawn in, read quests, don't wander unprepared.

Expect a busy HUD and quest book. Stay near spawn until you understand starter gear and quests. Ask in chat if you're stuck — someone usually knows the current season rules.

Troubleshooting

Wrong Minecraft version

The server runs 1.20.1 Fabric. Your profile must match. Reinstall the pack or change the profile version in your launcher.

Can't connect to the server

Check the status page — if Prominence shows offline, wait for it to come back. If it's online and you still fail, confirm you typed play.doodooflames.lol with no port. Disable VPNs temporarily and retry.

Mod mismatch / disconnect on join

You need the same pack the server runs. Use the official Prominence II profile or the Doodooflames zip once it's published — don't mix random extra mods unless ops say it's OK.
